In 1990, Mr Kapur started as the founding headmaster of Vasant Valley School. He has nurtured the school to become India’s leading co-educational day school. Benu Khanna has considerable experience in the educational field. Her expertise includes school management systems, public relations, teacher training,and representative member in ICSE Council and School Evaluation Systems.
Choki Wangchuk has a Master’s degree from Rutgers University and has experience in education consultancy and project management. He has worked on monitoring and evaluation of school performance and analysis of data on educational and skill development aspects.
Hemant is currently pursuing a course in the role of technology in education at Newcastle University. Formerly a faculty at the Royal Academy in Bhutan he led initiatives in the School, the Research Centre and the Teacher Development Centre.
Karishma Handa manages the Asia Pacific Schools Initiative at PLS. Born and brought up in New Delhi, she has previously worked with WWF -India & Wildlife SOS in the field of conservation, environment education & youth driven volunteer programs.
Portia Conrad is a Senior Programme Associate with Pallavan Learning Systems. Earlier she was a Programme Officer at the India International Centre, New Delhi. Portia began her career as a Consultant with the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), Prime Minister’s Office where she was part of deliberations on National Security Strategy of India. This was followed by being a Strategic Analyst, Joint Intelligence Committee, National Security Council Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, Government of India. Subsequently, she was a Consultant with the Policy, Planning and Research Division at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.
Renu Kaul is in the field of Education with special emphasis on Early Childhood Education. She is responsible for setting up and running the Pallavan Pre School programme.
Saroj Thapa’s expertise is in the area of school education, focusing on capacity building and research in teacher education, classroom pedagogy, special needs education and inclusion.
Sangeeta Doraiswami’s work experience covers leadership roles at schools, teaching primary, pre-schoolers in multi-cultural school communities at many public and international school systems. Her expertise lies in various curricula including the IB, British and Indian education systems. Her primary area of interest is in curriculum development for early schoolers and teacher training.
Sunaina Narang is an editor and has been in the publishing world. She has worked with Roli Books and HarperCollins India in Delhi. Her expertise is in book commissioning and editing. Currently she looks after content and communication at PLS.
Thupten Tsewang oversees all activities at Pallavan Learning Systems. Previously, he headed the Foundation for Universal Responsibility of His Holiness The Dalai Lama. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with an engineering background.
