For over 1.8 million people who are homeless in India, a warm blanket is a luxury they simply cannot afford, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which has made winters more difficult for them. As winter touches its peak in Delhi NCR, Ritinjali is once again committed to bringing warmth to those most in need through our annual Winter Drive.

Pallavan Learning Systems’ sister concern Ritinjali collects blankets at various drop locations which are then distributed to people living across various slum clusters and shelter homes in Delhi and Gurgaon.

January Issue II

 

Dear Readers,

Ritinjali’s Second Chance School as the very name suggests provides another chance to educate those who are deprived of education owing to adverse economic conditions and lack of proper guidance.

Here the boys’ wholistic development is taken care of during a two-year programme. They not only learn hard skills needed to get jobs but more importantly learn people skills which transform them into responsible citizens enabling them to successfully face the challenges of life with confidence.

The boys belong to different parts of India with different languages, food habits, customs and culture. Ritinajli’s intervention creates an atmosphere of mutual learning and respect.
